Working up through the ‘ranks’ John won the role of Head Chef at an esteemed country restaurant in Hampshire, where his experience and interest in fine food was consolidated over a period of five years.
Wanting to develop managerial experience, John moved into contract catering and studied for a management diploma. His experience covers a wide range of catering facilities, from large, high throughput outlets to small, fine dining services.
John joined the Brookwood Partnership in 2001 as Operations Manager. He became the Food Service Industry Operations Manager of the Year in 2005. The company fresh food ethos, together with the opportunity to educate children to enjoy a healthy balanced diet, make John feel he is doing a job that he not only loves but where he is really making a difference. In his 30 year career John has never come across any other catering company whose values compare to Brookwood.
